Hard Luck releases on DVD October 17 Saturday, October 14, 2006

After having a world premiere at the Harlem Film Festival in New York on October 7, Hard Luck will go to DVD across the country and the world on October 17, 2006.

The movie, in which Mike Messier plays Cybill Shepherds retarded son, Eugene, will be available at Hollywood Video, Blockbuster, Wal-Mart, Netflix, and other fine retailers. At 101 minutes, you should get your money's worth of strippers, gangstas and reformed criminals...whether you buy or rent the film.

Messier to star with Shepherd & Snipes! Thursday, December 8, 2005

Mike Messier is scheduled to work with Cybil Shepherd and Wesley Snipes in the new Mario Van Peebles movie Hard Luck.

Thanks to LDI Casting, Mike Messier has landed a huge break in securing the part of Eugene in the new movie by Mario Van Peebles, the director of New Jack City and Baadasssss!. Mike will be playing Ms. Shepherd's son and will have scenes with both Ms. Shepherd and Mr. Snipes. Mike would like to thank LDI Casting and Mario Van Peebles for the opportunity.

Schtickman - Big Hit at Boston Film Night Thursday, December 8, 2005

Mike Messier and animator Chris Miller continue to bring you Schtickman, the animated adventures of a stand-up stick figure comedian. Messier vs. White Ends In Four Game Draw Thursday, December 8, 2005

On December 7, 2005, to commemorate Pear Harbor Day, Mike Messier and author Jamie White (Tattered Clad) engaged in a war of attrition that ended in both men securing one victory, with two games ruled a stalemate. Messier and White are currently looking for two more opponents to engage in a special four-man chess set battle. Upon being called by a local cynic on Craig's List a "chess pansy", Messier responded: "You don't even know how to En’ passant!".

On September 30, 2005, The Mike Messier Show was awarded Best Series in the annual Rhode Island PEG awards for Rhode Island Public Access Television. Mike thanks all those who have contributed to the show.
